Boomshine: Another Simple But Addicting Timewaster

BoomshineI was playing Desktop Tower Defense when I happened to look at my wife’s computer and saw she was playing a game called Boomshine. It looked fun so I tried it out. Boomshine is even simpler than the tower defense game but is equally as addicting. The objective is to get the biggest chain reaction you can every round. If you don’t reach the required reactions for that round you don’t advance to the next one. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a high score table.

Of course as soon as my kids saw it they started asking me to let them try it heh.

Oh! I just discovered something about this that isn’t advertised!

It can actually teleport you into the future. No kidding. I don’t remember much (just a bunch of circles floating around me), but after I started playing it, I woke up and noticed that it was an hour later.

    Weird.

You know I think you’re right! I was playing it and all of a sudden my wife was standing next to me with a frown saying I still hadn’t eaten dinner and that she waited for an hour.

It’s funny when you think about it. The games today have incredible graphics but it’s the simple ones we can’t stop playing

    So true, so true.

I hope you don’t mind, but I’m inclined to post a review of this game on my blog. It’s just the thing for parents who are concerned about what their kids are up to online.

I still haven’t recovered from playing tower defense and now this! I think I’m going to wait until after my finals before even thinking of trying this game out.

I spent 6hrs at least playing tower defense everyday. I have to leave the house now to prevent myself from playing addicting games like these.
