Free Hide Folder: Keep Your Private Files Hidden

Most of us have files and folders that we don’t want our children to access. Some have files that they don’t want anyone else to see, — not even their spouses. Whatever your reason, you’ll need something to keep your private files hidden. This is where Free Hide Folder comes in. Free Hide Folder is a free app that lets you hide any folder of your choosing.

When you launch the app for the first time it asks you to create a password. Then you just choose which folders you want to hide and click the “Add” button. Your folders will now be hidden. Even you won’t be able to see them. To access your hidden folders just launch the app again, enter your password and click on “Unhide”. Pretty simple right?

Here’s what it looks like:

I use true crypt to create a volume to contain financial and email backup. It is automatically encrypted and is open source free software. Once you dismount the volume it leaves an encrypted file which I have online auto backup. I can never lose my key files.
