Conduit: Create A Toolbar For Your Site

ConduitIf you’re looking for another way to promote your site or blog here’s something that may interest you. Conduit lets you create a toolbar for your blog or site and offer it for download to your visitors. The creation process is simple and takes very little time. Some of the things you can include in your toolbar are web search, links to static pages, weather, email notification, and an audio player for listening to online radio stations.

You can also add RSS feeds to your toolbar. Conduit provides you with a list of feeds to add or you can choose to just have your own feeds. Everything is configurable. Conduit also lets you choose a banner to display on your site to promote your toolbar. Banners are available in different designs and sizes.

Here’s a sample toolbar:

Personally, I don’t like to have a lot of toolbars except for the ones I really need.

This looks pretty nifty. I haven’t had a chance to check it out thoroughly. Does it offer you stats on the number of times it has been downloaded or how many people are actually using it?

I don’t think that would be a matter of privacy, just usage numbers.

The main site has a stats feature that tells you how many times it was downloaded.

Cool one but many people wont use it unless the site is really big as already almost everyone has 4 or 5 toolbars

This looks interesting but as Mr byte pointed , it will be popular if we have a huge traffic .

Interesting, but I’m guessing that only the bigger shots in the blogosphere will be able to persuade their readers to download the toolbar. My web browser for that matter is pretty cluttered up too.
