ICQ 6 Released
ICQ has recently released a new version of their instant messaging client with new features in the hope of reviving the almost dead chat client. For those of you who remember, ICQ was the messaging client everyone used before the arrival of Yahoo’s chat client.
The new interface design focuses on tabs. Multiple conversations can now be managed from a single window. Just click on the tabs at the top of the window to switch between conversations. Send quick messages to your friends directly from the contact list window. A message notification box lets you see all received messages while you were away.
While the new design and features are a big improvement, there aren’t enough features to convince people to switch from using Yahoo Messenger to ICQ.

I used ICQ back in 2000 I think. Had a real short number like 12345. Lost my details and found out later that the low numbers were actually being sold to the highest bidder by their owners.

I used ICQ to talk to friends while playing the first Diablo game on Bnet. I think mine was 6 numbers. You mean we could have sold that? Dang
