Dell Resurrects XP On Users’ Request
Dell has recently restarted selling PCs with Windows XP as a response to user feedback on its site that called for the return of the operating system. Dell started phasing out the selling of new PCs with Windows XP on January but had to reverse their decision after getting 11,000 votes on the “Don’t Eliminate XP Just Yet” suggestion on their website.
It seems clear that a lot of people still choose to stay with XP despite Microsoft’s announcement that no new XP licences will be available for purchase starting January 2008. Problems with driver compatibilities, and the hardware specifications needed to run Vista are the main problems.
As for me, I’ll wait for Vista Service Pack 1 before I even consider upgrading.
