Virtual Me: Third Life?
Electronic Arts is teaming up with Endemol to launch Virtual Me, an avatar-based game that will let users participate in virtual versions of game shows and tv talent shows. Users will also be able to socialize with other Virtual Me players just like users in Linden Lab’s ‘Second Life’.
Aside from being able to form relationships and socialize with other Virtual Me players, users will also be able to join virtual versions of “Deal Or No Deal”, “1 VS 100″, “Fame Academy”, and “Operacion Triunfo”.
As the popularity of virtual environments increase, more and more advertisers are joining. While the game itself is virtual, items for users’ avatars will be purchased with real world money.
I think I’ll stick with my “traditional” games.

I used to work at EA and actually worked next to the team that developed Virtual Me. It was an intensive project that brought together people from around the company. It’s really great to see their hard work come together!
