DBAI: An Alternative To The Blogger Code Of Conduct

DBAI The debate on whether a code of conduct for bloggers is needed is still alive and kicking. Scott Jangro has offered a simple yet elegant alternative to the proposed code. I think this badge says it all. It’s basically a reminder to everyone to use their common sense when commenting on other people’s blogs.

As for me, I don’t mind light-hearted, humorous comments. What do you guys think about DBAI?

It could be interesting IF it had some sort of authority behind it. Some enterprising entrepreneur should establish a non-profit organization to monitor the state of the blogosphere’s participation. Then there would be a central user-generated authority to point to when siting infractions.

It’s not nearly as sanctimonious as some people’s suggestions. I’d vote for it…
