Google Apps Launches Office Tools
Google has just launched Google Apps Premiere Edition which comes with web-based word processing and spreadsheets. Aimed at large businesses, the suite costs $50 a year per user. This subscription will also provide users with 10 gigs of email storage and comes with Google Talk (instant messaging). Phone support is also available to subcscribers.
Those who are looking to integrate Google Apps into their existing sytem will be happy to know that the subscription also provides access to the Google Apps API. While the subscription cost is definitely lower than the cost of Microsoft Office, the suite is not yet as advanced as Microsoft’s.
