Joost: YouTube’s Rival
It looks like YouTube won’t have the monopoly on offering free videos online for long. Viacom Inc. has announced that it will deliver free films and television shows through Joost. Joost is run by the same people who started the Kazaa music sharing, and the Skype internet call service.
Some of you might remember that 2 weeks ago, Viacom asked YouTube to remove 100,000 video clips that were posted without permission.
What this means for me
It means that my kids will be bugging me more to use the computer just to watch their favorite shows and anime. Do I sound like I’m complaining? Maybe just a little.
