Yahoo Mail Unveils Chat

Yahoo mail has followed the example of Gmail by adding chat capabilities without leaving the inbox. Some lucky users will get a message when they log in inviting them to try the new chat feature. It hasn’t been formally launched yet so users that don’t receive the message when they log in will have to wait a little more until Yahoo makes it available for everyone.

For those of you who get invited to try the chat feature, you will find an option to convert their chat to email. There’s also a link to revert to chat.

With this new feature, Yahoo has a good chance of decreasing the number of people who are switching to Gmail. As for me, I use both.
